RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Jimmy Tsamouras isn’t shy about letting me know which place is his favorite neighborhood hangout.

“I come to Kuba Kuba because the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious,” said Tsamouras.

 He has lived in Carytown for seven years and even though there are numerous eateries there he likes driving a few miles down the road to Kuba Kuba. The family owned restaurant serves up authentic Cuban cuisine. However, it's not just what's on the menu that has Jimmy coming back for seconds.

 "Here you feel a part of the family, you're not just sitting on a seat as a number, when you walk into Kuba Kuba they greet you and make you feel like someone,” said Tsamouras.

 Once you’re here, you can’t help but notice, this is a family place. Just look around, the pictures tell the story.

 "If you look around the wall you'll see a picture of Manni, Manni’s parents being married, then you got a picture of Manni's family when Manni was a little kid with big black glasses on," said Tsamouras.

The Fan is home to a lot of people. You can see diversity everywhere. Jimmy says this is one place that brings the community together.

"This is one of the biggest melting pots in The Fan, and Richmond is big melting pot as it is so you can come in and there's a little bit of everything for everybody,” said Tsamouras.

For now, this Fan restaturant can rest assure its number-one fan will keep checking out, at Kuba Kuba.
